This Privacy Policy explains how OptiGain Technologies collects, uses, stores, processes and protects personal and business-related information when users access the OptiGain platform, website, mobile companion applications or related services.

Certain features may use automated statistical models, forecasting technologies or artificial-intelligence services to interpret business data and generate summaries, recommendations or operational insights.

AI-generated summaries and forecasts are decision-support tools. They are not guarantees of future performance and should be evaluated together with the business owner's knowledge, professional judgment and current market conditions.

5. Payment and Transaction Information

OptiGain may process payment-related transaction information in order to track business revenue, reconcile sales and update financial dashboards.

Depending on the payment workflow used by a business, transaction information may be received from supported payment integrations or entered by authorized business users.

Transaction data processed by OptiGain may include payment amounts, transaction references, timestamps, transaction status and information necessary to associate a payment with a business sale or account.

Important: OptiGain does not request or store customer M-Pesa PINs, mobile-money authentication PINs or online-banking passwords.

6. Basis for Processing Information

Depending on the nature of the information and service, OptiGain may process personal data where processing is necessary to provide contracted services, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate business and security interests, or where appropriate consent has been provided.

We aim to collect and process information that is relevant and reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

OptiGain does not sell personal data.

Information may be processed by service providers that support the operation of the platform, including:

  • Payment and transaction integration providers.

No online system can guarantee absolute security. Users must protect their credentials, use strong passwords, maintain control of authorized devices and promptly report suspected unauthorized account access.

OptiGain retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain financial and operational records, support security and audit requirements, resolve disputes and meet applicable legal obligations.

Retention periods may differ depending on the category of information, contractual requirements, account status and legal obligations.

When information is no longer reasonably required, it may be deleted, anonymized or securely archived where permitted by law.
